7 CALL PROCEDURE I Distress call A distress call should be transmitted if in the opinion of the Master, the ship or person is in distress and requires immediate assistance. A distress call should include the ship's position and time. They are included automatically when their data in NMEA0183 ver. 3.01 format is applied to [GPS] connector. When no data is applied, input them, if possible. A distress call some times called as a "MAYDAY call." D Distress call operation outline • Simple distress call Push and hold [DISTRESS] for 5 sec. Distress call
