D Quick set mode items Noise blanker level This item adjusts the noise blanker level to protect a signal from various pulse-type noises from 1 to 10. (default: 5) The set level is effective when the noise blanker is activated. Squelch level This item adjusts the squelch threshold level from 1 to 100. (default: 30) When the squelch is activated, signals stronger than this set level only are received. Dimmer This item sets the LCD backlight brightness for dimmer selection from 0 (dark) to 10 (bright). By pushing [F] then [0 DIM], the set brightness is se- lected to provide easy visibility during night time op- eration, etc. (default: 6) LCD contrast This item sets the LCD contrast from 1 to 10. (default: 7) Filter selection ✔ This item appears when e-mail mode is selected before entering quick set mode.
