CHAPTER 8 TROUBLESHOOTING 1 Remove the original loop guide and then turn the screws on both sides of the toner replenishing slot according to the marking position to open the toner replenishing slot. 5 While pressing the toner bottle down, turn it clockwise by 90 degrees. Toner will be replenished. 2 Grasp the replenishment toner bottle upside down and tap the bottom of the bottle 10 times. 6 Tap the side of the toner bottle 7 or 8 times to drop the toner remaining. 7 While pressing the toner bottle down, turn it to the original position and gently remove it. 3 Shake the replenishment toner bottle up and down 10 times, and grasp it horizontally and shake it side to side 10 times. CAUTION DO NOT attempt to incinerate the toner bottles or the waste toner tank. Dangerous sparks may cause burns. 4 Align the w portion of the toner bottle with the pin 1(metal protrusion) of the opening to insert the bottle into the opening as shown in the illustration. CAUTION DO NOT attempt to force open or destroy the toner bottles or the waste toner tank. 8 Close the toner replenishing slot and turn the toner replenishing slot screws to the location shown in the illustration to fix it. Then reattach the original loop guide. • After use, ALWAYS dispose of the toner bottles and the waste toner tank in accordance with Federal, State and Local rules and regulations. 8-4

• After use, ALWAYS dispose of the toner bottles and the
waste toner tank in accordance with Federal, State and
Local rules and regulations.
Remove the original loop guide and then turn the screws on
both sides of the toner replenishing slot according to the
marking position to open the toner replenishing slot.
Shake the replenishment toner bottle up and down 10 times,
and grasp it horizontally and shake it side to side 10 times.

protrusion) of the opening to insert the bottle into the opening
as shown in the illustration.
While pressing the toner bottle down, turn it clockwise by 90
degrees. Toner will be replenished.
Tap the side of the toner bottle 7 or 8 times to drop the toner
remaining.
While pressing the toner bottle down, turn it to the original
position and gently remove it.
Close the toner replenishing slot and turn the toner
replenishing slot screws to the location shown in the
illustration to fix it. Then reattach the original loop guide.

Grasp the replenishment toner bottle upside down and tap
the bottom of the bottle 10 times.
CAUTION
