Refer to the system board cover label inside the computer to locate the fail safe jumper on the system board. 5. Move the fail safe jumper from the normal position to the clear position. 6. Replace the cover. 7. Plug in the power cord. 8. Restart the computer, leave it on for about 10 seconds, and then turn off the computer. 9. Unplug the power cord and remove the cover. Important
If possible, record the configuration information of your computer

setting the fail safe jumper.
To erase a lost or forgotten password:
1.
Turn off the computer and all attached devices.
2.
Unplug the power cord.
3.
Remove the cover.

4.
Refer to the system board cover label inside the computer to locate the
fail safe jumper on the system board.
5.
Move the fail safe jumper from the normal position to the clear
position.
6.
Replace the cover.

off the computer.
