Replacing the cover and connecting the cables To replace the cover and connect the cables: 1. Ensure that all components have been reassembled correctly and that no tools or loose screws are left inside your computer. 2. Clear any cables that might impede the replacement of the cover. 3. With a hand on either side of the top cover, place the cover over the computer and slide the cover straight back until it snaps into place. 4. If a lock is present at the back of the computer, lock the cover. 5. Reconnect the external cables and cords to the computer. 6. Plug the power cords into properly grounded electrical outlets. 7. Update the computer configuration. See "Updating the computer configuration" on page 102. Note: If an error message related to the chassis-intrusion detector appears after you restart your computer, you must enter the administrator password. Replacing the cover and connecting the cables
To replace the cover and connect the cables:
1.
Ensure that all components have been reassembled correctly and that
no tools or loose screws are left inside your computer.
2.
Clear any cables that might impede the replacement of the cover.
3.
With a hand on either side of the top cover, place the cover over the
computer and slide the cover straight back until it snaps into place.
4.
If a lock is present at the back of the computer, lock the cover.
5.
Reconnect the external cables and cords to the computer.
6.
