*1 This mode is used for Auto White Balance Mode and Intelligent Auto Mode. *2 You can set this mode with a USER button. *3 Only displayed when Manual White Balance Mode is in use. ≥ To return to Auto White Balance Mode, press the W.B. button or set this unit to Intelligent Auto Mode using the iA/MANU switch. ∫ To set ATW Lock You can set ATW Lock by registering [ATW LOCK] to a USER button. ≥ Please refer to page 61 for details about setting the USER button. 1 Set the White Balance mode to [ATW]. ≥ If a mode other than [ATW] is set, press the W.B. button. 2 Press the USER button to which [ATW LOCK] is registered or touch the applicable USER button icon. ≥ To cancel ATW Lock, press the USER button or touch the USER button icon again. Canceling ATW Lock will return the White Balance mode back to [ATW]. ≥ ATW Lock is not available except when the White Balance mode is set to [ATW]. ≥ It will be canceled when the unit is turned off. ∫ To finely adjust the White Balance It is possible to adjust the White Balance in increments of 100K. A value between P2400K and P9900K can be set. ≥ Use the multi-function dial to change the settings. ≥ Switch to Manual Mode. (l 34) 1 Set the White Balance mode to [VAR]. (l 46) 2 Push the multi-function dial. 3 Rotate the multi-function dial to adjust the color balance. 4 Push the multi-function dial to finish the adjustment. ∫ To set the White Balance in accordance to the recording scene 1 Fill the screen with a white subject or place a white piece of paper in front of the lens. 2 Set the White Balance mode to [Ach] or [Bch]. (l 46) 3 Press and hold the W.B. button or the multi-function dial to start adjusting the White Balance. ≥ The screen goes dark momentarily, "WB SET OK" is displayed, and the adjustment ends. ≥ When the mode of White Balance is set to something other than [Ach] or [Bch], the Black Balance adjustment is performed by pressing and holding the W.B. button or the multi-function dial. Setting is completed when the screen goes black momentarily and "BB SET OK" is displayed. ≥ When the White Balance/Black Balance cannot be performed, an error message "WB SET NG" or "BB SET NG" is displayed on the screen. In such case, use other mode. ≥ Settings assigned to [Ach] or [Bch] can be finely adjusted in [COLOR TEMP A ch]/[COLOR TEMP B ch]. If a mode other than [ATW] is set, press the W.B. button.

Press the USER button to which [ATW LOCK] is registered or touch the
applicable USER button icon.
To cancel ATW Lock, press the USER button or touch the USER button icon again. Canceling
ATW Lock will return the White Balance mode back to [ATW].
