2. Getting Started 3. Lower the ARDF or ADF. Hold down the ARDF or ADF with your hands when using thick, folded, or bound originals and the ARDF or ADF cannot be lowered completely. Placing originals in the ARDF (Type 2 model) By using the ARDF, you can scan multiple pages at once. Also, you can scan both sides of original with the ARDF. • Do not place different size originals in the ARDF at once. • Straighten curls in the originals before placing them in the ARDF. • To prevent multiple sheets from being fed at once, fan the pages of your original before placing them in the ARDF. • Place the original squarely. 1.
