Chapter 3: Using the remote control Learning about the remote control The buttons used for operating the TV only are described here. For the REGZA-LINK remote control functions, see "REGZA-LINK® playback device control" (- page 47). For a complete list of the remote control's functions, see "Remote control functional key chart" (- pages 26- 27). 1 POWER turns the TV on and off. 2 FREEZE freezes the picture. Press again to restore the moving picture (- page 56). 3 SLEEP accesses the sleep timer (- page 51). 4 PIC SIZE cycles through the picture sizes (- page 54). 5 Channel Numbers (0-9, -/100) directly tune channels. The = button is used to enter two part channel numbers (- page 38) or to edit the Favorites List (- page 40). 6 INPUT selects the video input source (- page 41). 7 CH Bb cycles through programmed channels when no menu is on-screen. 8 VOL + - adjusts the volume level. 9 FAV accesses the Favorites List in the Channel Browser™ (- page 40). 10 CH RTN returns to the last viewed channel or source (- page 41). 11 MUTE reduces or turns off the sound (- page 62). 12 QUICK accesses Quick menu. 13 INFO displays TV status information as well as program details, when available (- page 53). 14 3 C / # c While watching TV, these buttons open the Channel Browser™ and tune to the previous/ next channel in the channel history. 15 Arrow buttons (BbC c) When a menu is on-screen, these buttons select or adjust programming menus. 16 OK activates highlighted items in the main menu system. 17 RETURN returns to previous menu. 18 EXIT closes on-screen menus. 19 CC opens the closed caption selector (- page 42). 20 MTS selects the audio mode. 21 MENU accesses the main TV menu system (- pages 32 and 33). 22 MODE SELECT switch selects between TV, CABLE/SAT, DVD, and AUX modes.
