4. Remove the fan module. Caution - Be careful to not damage the gaskets when you remove the fan module. Using your thumb and forefinger, grasp the top handle of the fan module and lift the module up and out of the chassis. See FIGURE 3-12. FIGURE 3-12 Removing a Fan Module Gaskets Caution: Do not damage gaskets 5. Install the new fan module: Caution - Fan trays tend to bias forward due to a gasket at the rear of the air plenum. The fan tray must be kept vertical or the edge connector at the bottom of the fan tray will not engage the main board connector.
