3.9.4.1 SSD Restrictions The following are important restrictions when using SSDs: ■ Do not mix SSDs of different manufacturers. ■ Do not mix drives of the same manufacturer with different drive capacities. ■ SSDs are not to be installed in the boot drive slots. Use this procedure to remove a drive prior to installing an SSD. This procedure applies to hard drives and SSDs. 1. Remove the drives access cover. See "To Remove the Drives Access Cover" on page 3-13. 2. Identify the drive to be removed by checking its LEDs. SSD Restrictions
The following are important restrictions when using SSDs:

To Replace an SSD
Note –
Before removing a drive, have the replacement drive ready to be installed.
Use this procedure to remove a drive prior to installing an SSD. This procedure
applies to hard drives and SSDs.
1. Remove the drives access cover.

2. Identify the drive to be removed by checking its LEDs.
