Formatting a USB Flash Drive Formatting a USB Flash Drive If you find that you are unable to use a new, blank USB flash drive or an old one that has been used with other devices, you may need to format it. Formatting erases all the data in the USB flash drive and makes it ready to record. The data erased by formatting will be lost permanently. Check whether or not the USB flash drive contains any important data you wish to keep before executing the operation. Proceed with caution, especially when connecting multiple USB storage media. 5 Press the [FORMAT] button in the display. A message appears, prompting confirmation of the operation. Select [FORMAT] to format the USB flash drive, or [CANCEL] to abort the operation. NOTICE Do not remove the USB flash drive while formatting. Drive
If you find that you are unable to use a new, blank USB
flash drive or an old one that has been used with other
devices, you may need to format it.
Formatting erases all the data in the USB flash drive and
makes it ready to record. The data erased by formatting
will be lost permanently. Check whether or not the USB

NOTE
Before purchasing a USB flash drive, please consult your
Yamaha dealer, or an authorized Yamaha distributor for advice,
or see the Yamaha website:

Connect the USB flash drive to the [USB
TO DEVICE] terminal.

Press the [TOOLS] button at the top
