Chapter 11 Wireless LAN 11.5 MAC Filter Screen The MAC filter screen allows you to configure the ARMOR Z1 to give exclusive access to devices (Allow) or exclude devices from accessing the ARMOR Z1 (Deny). Every Ethernet device has a unique MAC (Media Access Control) address. The MAC address is assigned at the factory and consists of six pairs of hexadecimal characters, for example, 00:A0:C5:00:00:02. You need to know the MAC address of the devices to configure this screen. To change your ARMOR Z1's MAC filter settings, click Expert > Wireless > MAC Filter. The screen appears as shown. Table 34 Expert > Wireless > MAC Filter LABEL DESCRIPTION Band Select the frequency band to set whether you want to apply the wireless and security settings to the default 2.4GHz or 5GHz wireless LAN. SSID Select This shows the SSID for which you are configuring MAC filtering. MAC Address Filter Select to turn on (Enable) or off (Disable) MAC address filtering. ARMOR Z1 User's Guide 96
