Setting up your printer Task 7: Connect the printer to your computer If you are connecting the printer directly to a network You can connect your printer directly to a Local Area Network using an HP JetDirect EX external network interface, connected to the printer's parallel port. Various network operating systems are supported, in DOS, Unixr and Macintosh environments.
