Answer: The "country mode" needs to be changed on the imaging barcode scanner. The country mode barcode are available in the programming guide for the scanner or one can change this via the configuration utility for the scanner in the "USB Keyboard parameter" which is found in the "Interface selection" of the utility. 9.21 Multiple HP Barcode Scanner Question: When I have multiple HP scanners installed on the unit (HP Imaging scanner / HP Linear Scanner / HP Presentation) the OPOS test utility will only test of one of the scanner. How can I have multiple scanners work on the unit in ((HP Imaging scanner / HP Linear Scanner / HP Presentation) OPOS? Answer: One will need to disable the OPOS driver so it does not use the virtual port to find the scanner. When this feature is disabled the OPOS driver will use the COM port that is assigned to the scanner; the COM port setting can be obtained from Windows device manager. Change these settings for the other scanner (HP Imaging scanner / HP Linear Scanner / HP Presentation). The following shows the changes in the registry (scanner is on COM6): Page 539 of 545
