SECTION 8-POSITIONING STRAP SECTION 8-POSITIONING STRAP ƽ WARNING After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure that all attaching hardware is tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage may result. The seat positioning strap is a positioning belt only. It is not designed for use as a safety device withstanding high stress loads such as auto or aircraft safety belts. If signs of wear appear, belt MUST be replaced immediately. Replacing Seat Positioning Strap Wheelchairs with TRRO Option To replace the seat positioning strap, refer to Wheelchair-Anchored Belts on page 125. Wheelchairs without 2G Tarsys Seating Systems or TRRO Option NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 8.1 on page 85. 1. Remove the seat cushion from the seat pan. 2. Move the flip back armrests out of the way. Refer to Adjusting Flip Back Armrests on page 80. 3. Remove the two mounting screws, locknuts, washers and quick-release pin tabs that secure the seat positioning straps to the seat frame. 4. Remove the two halves of the seat positioning strap from the rear seat frame. 5. Reposition the two new seat positioning strap inside of the seat frame as shown. 6. Reinstall the two mounting screws and quick-release pin tabs that secure the seat positioning straps to the seat frame and torque to 75 in-lbs. 7. Replacing Seat Positioning Strap
Wheelchairs with TRRO Option
To replace the seat positioning strap, refer to Wheelchair-Anchored Belts
on page 125.
Wheelchairs without 2G Tarsys Seating Systems or TRRO Option
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 8.1 on page 85.
1.
Remove the seat cushion from the seat pan.
2.
Move the flip back armrests out of the way. Refer to Adjusting Flip Back Armrests
on
page 80.
3.
Remove the two mounting screws, locknuts, washers and quick-release pin tabs that
secure the seat positioning straps to the seat frame.
4.
Remove the two halves of the seat positioning strap from the rear seat frame.
5.
Reposition the two new seat positioning strap inside of the seat frame as shown.
6.
Reinstall the two mounting screws and quick-release pin tabs that secure the seat
positioning straps to the seat frame and torque to 75 in-lbs.
7.
Reinstall the seat cushion onto the seat pan.
