Installing Windows Version 3.11 Software Installing the ThinkPad Features Program for Windows Version 3.11 Note: When installing an operating system, you need to install the ThinkPad Features program. If you are going to use Windows, install the ThinkPad Features program for DOS first (see page 121); then do the following to install the ThinkPad Features program for Windows Version 3.11: 1. Start Windows. 2. Select File from the Program Manager window; then select Run... from the pull-down menu. 3. Insert the Utility Diskette for Windows into the diskette drive; then type A:\INSTALLW and press Enter. 4. Follow the instructions on the screen. Default choices are already highlighted at the Installation Options screen. Installing the PC Card Support Software for Windows Version 3.11 To use PC Cards in Windows Version 3.11, install the CardWizard** software: Note: The files on the diskette are in a compressed format. The installation program decompresses the files that are copied to the destination drive. 1. Insert the diskette containing the CardWizard software into the diskette drive. 2. Start Windows. 3. From Windows Program Manager, select File from the pull-down menu and click on Run. 4. Type a:\setup in the Run dialog box that appears on the screen. 5. Click on OK. 6. Installing the ThinkPad Features Program for Windows
Version 3.11
Note:
When installing an operating system,
you need to install the ThinkPad
Features program.
If you are going to use Windows, install the ThinkPad Features
program for DOS first (see page 121); then do the following to install
the ThinkPad Features program for Windows Version 3.11:
1.
Start Windows.
2.
Select
File
from the Program Manager window; then select
Run...
from the pull-down menu.
3.
Insert the Utility Diskette for Windows into the diskette drive;
then type
A:\INSTALLW
and press
Enter
.
4.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
Default choices are already highlighted at the Installation
Options screen.
Installing the PC Card Support Software for Windows Version
3.11
To use PC Cards in Windows Version 3.11, install the CardWizard
**
software:
1.

2.
Start Windows.
