Installing Windows NT Software If you are using Windows NT Version 4.0: 1. Start Windows NT Workstation and log on to the system. 2. Click on My Computer. 3. Click on Control Panel; then click on Display. 4. At the Display Properties menu, click on the Settings tab; then click on Display Type.... 5. Click on Change... at the Display Type menu. 6. Click on Have Disk... at the Change Display panel. 7. Insert the Video Features Diskette for Windows NT into the diskette drive; then click on OK. A selection list appears listing the display device. 8. Select NeoMagic MagicGraph 128/Z/ZV from the list; then click on OK. The message "You are about to install a third-party driver" appears on the screen. 9. Click on Yes; then follow the instructions on the screen. 10. Restart Windows NT after the installation is complete. After you restart Windows NT, the display resolution is set to 640x480 with 256 colors as a default. If necessary, change the resolution and refresh rate to another value using ThinkPad Features program. Using the Video Features Diskette for the External Monitor After you have installed the display device driver for Windows NT, do the following to use an external monitor with your computer: 1. Start Windows NT. 2. When the OS Loader V4.00 panel appears, prompting you to select the operating system, change the screen to CRT-only mode by pressing the Fn+F7 key combination. 3.
