Installing Windows NT Software Notes: 1. If you have installed the ThinkPad Features program, you can switch the display mode to CRT only, CRT and LCD simultaneous, or LCD only using the Display menu of the ThinkPad Features program. 2. If your CRT displays noise or if the screen image is unstable, you can adjust the refresh rate as follows: a) Start the ThinkPad Features program; then open the Display menu. b) Specify your CRT type and select the appropriate refresh rate. c) Click on OK. 3. If you use an external display with 1024x768 resolution and display information on the LCD, a part of the 1024x768 screen is shown on the 800x600 LCD. This is called the virtual screen. Under the virtual screen mode, you can use the pointer to scroll up or down or left to right to see information outside the displayed area. 4. Reboot is required when switching color depth of 16,777,216 colors to (256 or 65,536) colors on windows NT 4.0. Follow the instructions according to your Windows NT version. Installing the PCMCIA Token Ring Device Driver for Windows NT Version 3.51 Windows NT comes with integrated PCMCIA support for some PC Cards. The PCMCIA device driver included in Windows NT does not support the following PC Cards: IBM PCMCIA 16/4 Token Ring Credit Card adapter, IBM PCMCIA 16/4 Token Ring Credit Card adapter II, and IBM PCMCIA Token Ring Auto 16/4 Credit Card adapter. Notes:
