Getting Started Overall Setup Procedures The following is a general outline of the overall procedure to take when using the computer for the first time. For details and actual procedures, refer to the pages indicated. 1 Set Up the Computer First, check whether your computer came with all the necessary items. Then, install the battery pack in the computer. Now you are ready to turn on the computer. 2 Install Options If you have any options, such as memory cards, install the options. 3 Customize Your Computer You can use the ThinkPad Features program to customize the performance of your computer.
