Troubleshooting Symptom Nothing appears on the display Won't start Unable to record No playback sound heard Recording level too low Recording level too high Voice files are not recorded in stereo Probable cause The batteries are not loaded properly. Battery power is getting low. Action Verify that the batteries' polarities = and - are correct (☞ P.15). Charge the batteries or replace with new batteries (☞ P.15, P.17). The power is off. Turn the power on (☞ P.20). Battery power is getting low. Charge the batteries or replace with new batteries (☞ P.15, P.17). The power is off. Turn the power on (☞ P.20). The recorder is in HOLD mode. Release the recorder from HOLD (☞ P.21). Low remaining memory. Erase unnecessary files (☞ P.48). The maximum number of files has been reached. The earphone is connected.
