Important safety instructions Important safety instructions Never block the vents (air openings) of the range. They provide the air inlet and exhaust necessary for the range to operate properly with correct combustion. Air openings are located behind the range, under the oven control panel, at the top and bottom of the oven door, and under the lower warming or storage drawer. Large scratches on or sharp blows to the door glass can cause the glass to break or shatter. Make sure the wall coverings around the range can withstand heat, up to 200 °F (93 °C), generated by the range. Avoid placing cabinets above the range. This reduces the hazard caused by reaching over the open flames of operating burners. Do not put any combustible material or items around the range. If cabinets are placed above the range, allow a minimum clearance of 40" (102 cm) between the cooking surface and the bottom of unprotected cabinets. Install a ventilation hood or an externally vented Over The Range Microwave Oven over the range cooktop that is as wide as the range, centered over the range, and projects forward beyond the front of the cabinets. See the Installation instructions. Remove all tape and packaging. Make sure the burners are properly seated and level. Remove any accessories from the oven and/or lower drawer. Check to make sure no range parts have come loose during shipping. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS 16 English
