OPERATION PANEL Touch panel Messages and keys appear in the LCD display. Operations are performed by directly touching the displayed keys with your fingers. When a key is touched, a beep sounds and the selected item is highlighted. This lets you check an operation as you perform it. Status indicators Green and red indicators light and blink to indicate the status of the machine. The green indicator is on the left side and the red indicator is on the right side. When the green indicator lights or blinks, the machine is operating normally. The red indicator will light up when toner is low or it is time for maintenance. When the machine stops operating due to a paper misfeed or out of toner, the red indicator will blink. HOME SYSTEM SETTINGS JOB STATUS LOGOUT PROOF COPY Main power indicator This indicator lights when the main power is switched on. When auto power shutoff is in effect and data can be transmitted and received, the indicator lights orange. [POWER] key ( ) Use this key to turn the machine power on and off. [POWER SAVE] key ( ) Use this key to activate power save mode. The [POWER SAVE] key blinks when the machine is in power save mode. This key is also used to deactivate power save mode.
