36 CHAPTER FOUR Setting Beeper Volume You can set the beeper to LOW, HIGH or OFF. The default setting is LOW. When the beeper is set to LOW or HIGH, the MFC beeps every time you press a key or make an error, and at the end of fax sending or receiving. 1 Press Function , 1 , 1 , 4 . 2 Press or to select your setting. 3 When the screen displays the setting you want, press Set . 4 Press Stop to exit. Setting the Handset Volume You can adjust the handset volume any time you are talking on the telephone. There are two handset volume levels, LOW and HIGH. The default setting is LOW. Press or to adjust the volume level. The display shows the setting you are choosing. The new setting will remain until you change it again. Setting the Speaker Volume You can adjust the speaker volume when your MFC is on Hook . Press or to adjust the volume level. The display shows the setting you are choosing. Each key press changes the volume to the next setting. The new setting will remain until you change it again. On the MFC 6650MC, if you turn the Incoming Recording Monitor to OFF ( Function , 1 , 8 , 5 ), the Speaker for screening calls will be disabled and you will not be able to hear callers leaving messages.
