c Pull out the jammed paper (1). 1 d Lift the Jam Clear flap, and remove the jammed paper. Paper is jammed at the back of the machine B If the LCD shows Paper Jam [Rear], follow these steps: a Unplug the machine from the AC power outlet. IMPORTANT Before you unplug the machine from the power source, you can transfer your faxes that are stored in the memory to your PC or another fax machine so you will not lose any important messages. (See Transferring your faxes or Fax Journal report uu page 75.) b Open the Jam Clear Cover (1) at the back of the machine. e Push the paper tray firmly back into the machine. 1 f While holding the paper tray in place, pull out the paper support until it clicks, and then unfold the paper support flap. Make sure you pull out the paper support until it clicks. IMPORTANT DO NOT use the paper support flap for Legal size paper. g Re-connect the power cord. 78

Lift the Jam Clear flap, and remove the
jammed paper.

Push the paper tray firmly back into the
machine.

While holding the paper tray in place,
pull out the paper support until it clicks,
and then unfold the paper support flap.
Make sure you pull out the paper
support until it clicks.
IMPORTANT
DO NOT use the paper support flap for
Legal size paper.

Re-connect the power cord.
