6.16 Front Bezel Assembly The front bezel must be removed before removing or installing the J hood, the power supply, or any of the mass storage devices. 6.16.1 Front Bezel The front bezel is attached to the computer chassis with release latches that are integrated into the bezel. To remove the front bezel, complete the following steps: 1. Remove the access panel (Section 6.6.1). 2. From the inside of the chassis, push in the release latches 1 and push the side of the bezel out and away from the chassis 2. 3. Rotate the front bezel out from the chassis, then slide it to the left. 4. Separate the bezel from the chassis. Figure 6-25. Removing the Front Bezel To replace the bezel, reverse the above procedure. Ensure that the hinge points at the side of the bezel and the release latches are properly positioned before latching the bezel into place. Compaq Deskpro 2000 Series of Personal Computers 6-25
