You can order a set of backup diskettes from Compaq at nominal cost, or you can make your own set. 2.12.1 Ordering Backup Diskettes You can order backup diskettes from Compaq for all of the software preinstalled on your computer. You can order all software as a single set, or you can order the various software packages separately. When calling Compaq to place an order, be sure to have the serial number of your computer available. The location of the serial number is shown in Chapters 5 and 6 for the desktop and minitower models respectively. This number is necessary for all purchases.
