If installed, remove the air shroud. 5. Route the cable properly to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped. Steps 1. Align the front PERC module at an angle until the tray touches the slot in the system. 2. Slide and press the front PERC module connector with the connector on the drive backplane until firmly seated. 3. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, tighten the captive screws on the front PERC module.
