To debug and log messages, add time stamps. This command adds either the uptime or the current time and date.

Syntax

service timestamps {debug | log} [datetime [localtime] [msec] [show-timezone] |

uptime]

To disable timestamping, use the

no service timestamps [debug | log]

command.
