Syntax Parameters distance bgp external-distance internal-distance local-distance To return to default values, use the no distance bgp command. external-distance internal-distance local-distance Enter a number to assign to routes learned from a neighbor external to the AS. The range is from 1 to 255. The default is 20. Enter a number to assign to routes learned from a router within the AS. The range is from 1 to 255. The default is 200. Usage Information CAUTION: Dell Networking recommends not changing the administrative distance of internal routes. Changing the administrative distances may cause routing table inconsistencies. The higher the administrative distance assigned to a route means that your confidence in that route is low. Routes assigned an administrative distance of 255 are not installed in the routing table.
