Usage Information You also must configure an authentication key for NTP traffic using the ntp authentication-key command. ntp authentication-key Specify a key for authenticating the NTP server. Syntax Parameters ntp authentication-key number md5 [0 | 7] key number Specify a number for the authentication key. The range is from 1 to 4294967295. This number must be the same as the number parameter configured in the ntp trusted-key command. md5 0 7 key Specify that the authentication key is encrypted using MD5 encryption algorithm. Specify that authentication key is entered in an unencrypted format (default). Specify that the authentication key is entered in DES encrypted format. Enter the authentication key in the previously specified format. Defaults NTP authentication is not configured by default. If you do not specify the option [0 | 7], 0 is selected by default. Usage Information

You also must configure an authentication key for NTP traffic using the

ntp authentication-key

command.

ntp authentication-key

Specify a key for authenticating the NTP server.

Syntax

ntp authentication-key

Parameters

number

Specify a number for the authentication key. The range is from 1 to 4294967295.

This number must be the same as the

number

parameter configured in the

ntp

trusted-key

command.

md5

Specify that the authentication key is encrypted using MD5 encryption algorithm.

Specify that authentication key is entered in an unencrypted format (default).

Specify that the authentication key is entered in DES encrypted format.

key

Enter the authentication key in the previously specified format.

Defaults

NTP authentication is not configured by default. If you do not specify the option [
