Usage Information EEE is an IEEE 802.3 az standard that reduces power consumptions on Ethernet ports. When EEE is enabled, transmission is stopped when there is no data to be transmitted and is resumed on arrival of new packets. You can enable EEE only on on 1-Gigabit and 10-Gigabit native copper ports. On a TAA (Trade Agreements Act) compliant system, EEE is enabled by default.
