Image Formation Troubleshooting When working with customers, obtain a print sample before troubleshooting the printer. Ask the customer to explain the quality they expect from the printer. The print sample will also help clarify the customer's explanation. Often an image formation problem can be linked to media that is outside the specifications established by Hewlett-Packard for optimum printer performance. See "Media Troubleshooting" (page 129) for help with persistent image formation problems. Table 6-9.
