driver. Options such as Watermarks, Pages per sheet and Booklet layout might not print correctly from some software programs with the Postscript Passthrough setting enabled, because such programs send postscript information that the driver cannot control. Other programs might print using these options without problems. Select the Disabled option and print the document again if you encounter problems. NOTE: In some cases, disabling the Postscript Passthrough option can cause unexpected results within a software program. JPEG Passthrough (PS Emulation driver only) The JPEG Passthrough setting contains the following options: ● Disable: When this option is selected, images sent as JPEG are printed as bitmaps, resulting in faster printing. ● Enable: When this option is selected, images sent as JPEG are printed as JPEG (JPEG passthrough). ● Auto: When this option is selected, the product connection type is automatically detected. For network (TCP/IP) connections, JPEG passthrough is disabled. For DOT4 and USB connections, JPEG passthrough is enabled. This is the default setting. Job Separator NOTE: If the Job Separator setting on the Device Settings tab is changed to the Disabled option, the button will not appear on the Output tab Use the job separator feature to add a separator page to the first copy of a print job. Unlike the job separator page that is part of the Windows operating system, the job separator feature in the printer driver can be enabled for individual print jobs. When the job separator feature is enabled, the job separator page is added to the print job (rather than being sent as a separate print job), resulting in improved product performance. You can also add a job separator page to a stored job that will be printed at a later time. When multiple copies of a job are printed, only the first copy of the print job will contain a separator page. If a staple option is selected, the separator page will be stapled to the first copy of the print job. NOTE: The job separator features in the printer driver do not affect the job separator pages that are part of the Windows operating system.
