Installing the HP Ultra3 SCSI Host Bus Adapter 1. Discharge any static electricity build-up before handling the SCSI host bus adapter by touching a grounded metal object (like the exposed metal parts on the back of your HP Netserver). WARNING Turn OFF power to the HP Netserver and disconnect the power cord. 2. 1. Discharge any static electricity build-up before handling the SCSI host bus
adapter by touching a grounded metal object (like the exposed metal parts on
the back of your HP Netserver).
2. After you turn off your HP Netserver and unplug the power cord, remove the
cover from the Netserver.

3. Locate an unused 64-bit PCI expansion slot and remove the expansion slot
cover. If the HP Netserver does not have a 64-bit slot, you can install the host
adapter in a 32-bit PCI slot. (The expansion slot must be compliant with PCI

WARNING
Turn OFF power to the HP Netserver and disconnect the
power cord.
