Page 142 highlights

Figure 48 recommends you set the value to at least 2 seconds to ensure all SCSI devices complete their individual power-ups. ■ Initiator Mode Buffered Tape Writes enables/disables Buffered Tape Writes which return status on consecutive write commands prior to the tape device receiving data in order to enhance performance. ■ Target Mode Buffered Tape Writes enables/disables Buffered Tape Writes which returns status on consecutive write commands prior to the tape device receiving data in order to enhance performance. Select the [Submit] button to submit changes for any of the above settings. To change the SCSI settings for a particular bus, select the [Settings] button for the appropriate bus number shown. When this option is selected, the following screen appears. SCSI Settings ■ Initiator ID sets the ID for the SCSI device that requests operations from other SCSI devices known as targets. This should be a unique ID on the bus. Default is 7. ■ Remove Target ID eliminates target IDs previously added. ■ Add Target ID adds an ID for a SCSI device that responds to operation requests from the SCSI initiator. 144 Main Menu Chapter 6

Initiator ID
sets the ID for the SCSI device that requests operations from
other SCSI devices known as targets. This should be a unique ID on the
bus. Default is 7.
Remove Target ID
eliminates target IDs previously added.
Add Target ID
adds an ID for a SCSI device that responds to operation
requests from the SCSI initiator.
