In the situation where the SCSI host is unable or unwilling to talk to any LUN except for the known controller LUN, the host can perform a REPORT LUNS command (See Table 14 ). The bridge will respond with a list of all addressable LUNs. Each of these LUNs reported can then be queried for inquiry data. The first two bytes of each SCC LUN are inserted into the FCP Logical Unit Number field on the Virtual Inquiry Command. The bridge will forward the inquiry to the device and return that device's Inquiry Data back.
