The user should use appropriate screws or equivalent mounting hardware to mount the drive securely enough to prevent excessive motion or vibration of the drive at seek operation or spindle rotation. 6.5.5 Load/unload mechanism The head load/unload mechanism is provided to protect the disk data during shipping, movement, or storage. Upon power down, a head unload mechanism secures the heads at the unload position. See 6.6.4, "Nonoperating shock", on page 36 for additional details.
