Step 4 Click Apply. 5.11 AI / IVS Functions 5.11.1 HDMX and EL Series HDVRs Any faces shown are purposely pixelated to comply with relevant regulations. The HDVR's AI module provides face detection, recognition, IVS functions, and Metadata. These functions take effect after they are configured and enabled. ● Face detection: The Device can analyze the faces captured by the camera and link the configured alarms when detected. ● Face recognition: The Device can compare the captured faces with the face library and then link the configured alarms depending on if there is a match. ● IVS: The IVS function processes and analyzes the human and vehicle images to extract the key information to match with the preset rules. When the detected behaviors match with the rules, the system activates alarms. The IVS function can avoid wrong alarms by filtering the factors such as rain, light, and animals. ● Metadata: The device can detect and extract key features from the video's human bodies and non-motor vehicles and then build a structured database. You can search any target you need with these features. For example, you can search any person wearing a yellow short sleeve shirt. 5.11.1.1 Face Detection Some HDVR models can analyze the pictures captured by the camera to detect whether the faces are on the pictures. You can search and filter the recorded videos the faces and play back. If you enable AI or IVS, you can only choose one AI or IVS function (face detection and recognition, IVS function, and Metadata) for the same channel. 5.11.1.1.1 Configuring Face Detection Parameters The alarms are generated according to the configured parameters.
