6. SD CARD/USB FLASH DRIVE (ADVANCED) Saving the setting data onto an SD card or USB flash drive The Memory channels and the transceiver's settings can be saved onto an SD card or USB flash drive. This function is convenient when: ••Copying the saved data to another IC-7610 to operate using the same data. ••Using an IC-7610 by two or more operators with their own individual settings. 1. Insert an SD card or USB flash drive. 2. Display the SAVE SETTING screen. MENU » SET > SD Card > Save Setting MENU » SET > USB Flash Drive > Save Setting 3. Touch "." LThe file name is automatically set in the following format: Setyyyymmdd_xx (yyyy: Year, mm: month, dd: day, xx: serial number). 4. To save the file with the displayed name, touch [ENT]. LIf you want to change the name, delete the name and re-enter it, and then touch [ENT]. ••"Save file?" is displayed. TIP: When you have updated the transceiver's firmware, the "Save Form" item will be added on the setting screen. If this item is set to the earlier firmware version, the confirmation window is displayed after step 3. To save the data in the earlier firmware version, touch [YES]. 5. Touch [YES]. ••Saves the data settings. 6. To close the SET screen, push EXIT several times. 55

Saving the setting data onto an SD card or
USB flash drive
The Memory channels and the transceiver’s settings
can be saved onto an SD card or USB flash drive.
This function is convenient when:
• Copying the saved data to another IC-7610 to operate
using the same data.
• Using an IC-7610 by two or more operators with their own
individual settings.

Insert an SD card or USB flash drive.
2.
Display the SAVE SETTING screen.

3. Touch “<<New File>>.”

The file name is automatically set in the following
format: Setyyyymmdd_xx (yyyy: Year, mm: month,
dd: day, xx: serial number).
TIP:
When you have updated the transceiver’s firmware,
the “Save Form” item will be added on the setting screen.
If this item is set to the earlier firmware version, the
confirmation window is displayed after step 3. To save the
data in the earlier firmware version, touch [YES].

To save the file with the displayed name,
touch [ENT].

If you want to change the name, delete the name
and re-enter it, and then touch [ENT].
“Save file?” is displayed.
5. Touch [YES].
Saves the data settings.
6.
To close the SET screen, push
EXIT
several
times.
