Connecting to Networks and Devices 57 USB Connection USB connection is a feature that allows your phone to connect to a PC using a USB Cable. Using the Status Bar to change the connection mode setting The Status Bar displays the USB connection icon, when connected via USB. When connected via USB, the current USB connection mode also appears on the Notifications panel. Tap the connection setting to display a screen where you can change the USB connection mode. NOTE The MTP driver may not be installed on your PC by default. The driver is dependent on the PC's versions of Windows® and Windows Media Player (WMP). SmartShare You can use the SmartShare function to conveniently view photos and play videos (the Gallery app) and listen to music (the Music app). To enjoy SmartShare You can stream multimedia content on your phone to another device and also send files to it. NOTE SmartShare requires both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networks, so when you access SmartShare, they'll turn on automatically. 1. Access the app that has the content you want to use with SmartShare, then tap the SmartShare icon , the Share icon , or the Menu icon (at the upper-right corner of the screen) > SmartShare. 2. Tap the device you want to share from the list. If the device isn't displayed on the list, make sure that Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, or Bluetooth is turned on. Then tap RESCAN. 3. The file is shared after you tap the target device.
