ProSecure Web/Email Security Threat Management (STM) Appliance • Check to see that the network address of your PC (the portion of the IP address that is specified by the netmask) is different from the network address of the remote device. • Check that the modem or router is connected and functioning. Restoring the Default Configuration and Password To reset the STM to its original factory default settings: 1. Select Administration > Backup and Restore Settings from the menu. The Backup and Restore Settings screen displays. Figure 127. 2. Next to Revert to factory default settings, click the Default button. The STM restarts. During the reboot process, the Backup & Restore Settings screen remains visible. The reboot process is complete after several minutes when the Test LED (STM150) or Status LED (STM300 and STM600) on the front panel goes off. WARNING! When you restore the factory default settings, the STM settings are erased. All scan and antispam settings are lost. Back up your settings if you intend to use them. Note: After rebooting with factory default settings, the STM administrator account password is password, the guest account password is guest, and the LAN IP address is 192.168.1.201. Chapter 7. Check to see that the network address of your PC (the portion of the IP address that is
specified by the netmask) is different from the network address of the remote device.
Check that the modem or router is connected and functioning.
Restoring the Default Configuration and Password
To reset the STM to its original factory default settings:
1.
Select
Administration > Backup and Restore Settings
from the menu. The Backup
and Restore Settings screen displays.

The STM restarts. During the reboot process, the Backup & Restore Settings screen
remains visible. The reboot process is complete after several minutes when the Test LED
(STM150) or Status LED (STM300 and STM600) on the front panel goes off.
WARNING!
When you restore the factory default settings, the STM settings
are erased. All scan and antispam settings are lost. Back up your

Note:
