ProSecure Web/Email Security Threat Management (STM) Appliance To back up settings: 1. On the Backup and Restore Settings screen (see the previous figure), next to Save a copy of current settings, click the Backup button to save a copy of your current settings. A dialog box displays, showing the file name of the backup file. Note: The backup file has the following format: backup_$hostname_$productversion_$yyyymmdd.gpg. $hostname: The host name of the STM that is configured on the Network Settings screen, for example, STM600. $productversion: The software version of the STM, for example, 2.0.0-39. $yyyymmdd: The time when the backup is performed, for example, 20100617. Using these examples, the backup file name would be backup_STM600_2.0.0-39_20100617.gpg. 2. Select Save file, and then click OK. 3. Open the folder where you have saved the backup file, and then verify that it has been saved successfully. Note the following: • If your browser is not configured to save downloaded files automatically, locate the folder in which you want to save the file, specify the file name, and save the file. • If you have your browser configured to save downloaded files automatically, the file is saved to your browser's download location on the hard disk. Restoring Settings WARNING! Restore only settings that were backed up from the same software version. To back up settings:
1.
On the Backup and Restore Settings screen (see the previous figure), next to Save a

Note:
The backup file has the following format:
