ProSecure Web/Email Security Threat Management (STM) Appliance • Guest user. A user who can only view the STM configuration (that is, read-only access). The default user name for a guest is guest, and the default password for a guest is guest. NETGEAR recommends that you change these passwords to more secure passwords. The login window that is presented to the administrator and guest user is the NETGEAR Configuration Manager Login screen (see Figure 87 on page 155). Changing Administrative Passwords and Timeouts In addition to changing the default password for the administrator and guest user, you can use the Set Password screen to change the account names, and modify the Web Management Interface timeout setting. Note: The ideal password should contain no dictionary words from any language, and should be a mixture of letters (both uppercase and lowercase), numbers, and symbols. The password can be up to 64 characters. To modify the administrator and guest accounts, and to modify the Web Management Interface timeout setting: 1.
