Black-and-white Standard Custom • Choose Custom to manually adjust Contrast, Image sharpening, and Monochrome filter effects. B&W + color • When the B&W + color option is enabled (w), one black-and-white picture and the same picture in full color are recorded simultaneously. The following options can be adjusted in Custom. Contrast Same as Optimize image ➝ Custom ➝ Contrast (A88). Image sharpening Same as Optimize image ➝ Custom ➝ Image sharpening (A88). Monochrome filter This effect simulates black-and-white photography with a color filter. • Yellow, Orange, Red: Enhance contrast. Can be used to tone down the brightness of the sky in landscape photographs. Orange filter results in greater contrast than yellow filter, and red filter greater contrast than orange filter. Monochrome filter None Yellow Orange Red Green Sepia • Green: Softens skin tones. Suitable for portraits. • Sepia: Adds a sepia color tone to make it look like an old picture.
