Press the shutter-release button halfway again to focus. 1/250 F5.6 • If the shutter-release button is pressed halfway while the focus area is not displayed, the camera focuses at the center of the frame. • Press the shutter-release button the rest of the way down to take the picture. More on Shooting B Notes on Subject Tracking • The digital zoom is not available. • Set the zoom position, flash mode, focus mode, or menu before registering a subject. If any of these are changed after a subject is registered, the subject will be canceled. • During certain conditions, such as when the subject is moving quickly, when there is a large amount of camera shake, or when there are multiple subjects that look alike, the camera may not be able to register or track a subject, or the camera may track a different subject. Additionally, the subject may not be tracked properly depending on factors such as the subject's size and brightness. • In some rare cases of shooting subjects for which autofocus does not perform as expected (A33), the subject may not be in focus despite the fact that the focus area lights in green. If you cannot focus, change the AF area mode setting to Manual or Center, or try shooting with focus lock (A33) by switching the shooting mode to a mode such as auto mode and refocusing on another subject at the same distance. • This feature cannot be used simultaneously with certain features.
