Setup Menu Format Memory/Format Card Press the d button M z (Setup menu) (A186) M Format memory/Format card Format the internal memory or a memory card. Formatting permanently deletes all data in the internal memory or memory card. The deleted data cannot be recovered. Be sure to transfer important pictures to a computer before formatting. Formatting Internal Memory To format the internal memory, remove the memory card from the camera. The Format memory option is displayed in the setup menu.
