When paper is wrapped around the drum Clearing Misfeeds ·Open the front cover. ·Lower drum unit lock lever B1. ·Pull out the drum unit handle B2 slowly. When paper is wrapped around the drum ·Lift the upper drum stay B3 a little to unlock the drum unit, and then pull out the drum unit while holding the drum unit handle B2 and the upper drum stay B3. ·Remove the misfed paper fromthe drum. ·If you cannot find misfed paper around the drum, check the pressure cylinder. Remove any misfed paper. ·Set the drum unit and close the front cover. CVU015 ·Open the front cover. ·Lower drum unit lock lever B1. ·Pull out the drum unit handle B2 slowly . ·Lift the upper drum stay B3 a little to unlock the drum unit, and then pull out the drum unit while holding the drum unit handle B2 and the upper drum stay B3. ·Remove the misfed paper from the inside as shown in the illustration. ·If you cannot remove the misfed paper, remove paper from the pressure cylinder. ·Set the drum unit and close the front cover. CVU016 To prevent paper misfeeds If the paper is curled or the original's leading edge margin is too narrow, the following action is necessary. • When you use curled paper, correct as shown. 191

·Pull out the drum unit
handle B2 slowly.
·Lift the upper drum stay

drum unit, and then pull

close the front cover.
·Remove the misfed
paper from
the drum.
·If you cannot find
misfed paper around
the drum, check the
pressure cylinder.

paper.
