Remove the Tape and Shipping Restraints In this exercise, you will remove the tape and shipping restraints. Please refer to steps 3 through 6 of the Phaser 7300 Color Printer Setup Poster to complete this exercise. Remove Tape Remove all of the packing tape from the printer. Tape is used to secure the Top Cover, the Left Side Output Tray, the Multi-Purpose Tray, Tray 1, and optional Duplex Unit during shipment. When removing tape from the Left Side Output Tray and Multi-Purpose Tray, be sure to hold them steady to avoid breaking the plastic. Remove Shipping Restraints Remove the LED assembly shipping restraint from the Top Cover. To avoid print quality problems, avoid touching the polished lens surface on the LED assemblies where light is emitted. Install Options In this exercise, you will install any available options. If there are options for the printer that were purchased separately, install them now. The available printer options include: ■ Hard Drive ■ RAM ■ Duplex Unit Please refer to the instruction sheets for each option to complete this exercise. Install the options.
