Install Toner Cartridges In this exercise, you will install the four Toner Cartridges. Please refer to steps 8 through 10 of the Phaser 7300 Color Printer Setup Poster to complete this exercise. The printer ships with four standard capacity Toner Cartridges. Be sure to shake each cartridge to loosen the toner, which may become packed during shipment or storage. Before installing the Toner Cartridges, the plastic retainers must be removed from the Imaging Units. Install the Toner Cartridges immediately after removing the retainers to reduce the amount of time the Imaging Units are exposed to light. To reduce the exposure of the light sensitive Imaging Units, unpack all of the Toner Cartridges and remove the protective strip from each before opening the top cover. To avoid damage to the Imaging Units, do not expose them to light for more than 10 minutes. Too much exposure will cause print quality problems and reduce the life of the Imaging Units. Keep the printer's top cover closed until all four Toner Cartridges are ready to install. Severe print quality problems may result if toner leaks from the Toner Cartridges. Be sure to lock them down properly. Remove all of the protective sheets from the Imaging Units.
