Solve Print Quality Problems During this step, you will perform the Lighten/Darken Colors, Balance Colors, and Calibrate Margins adjustments. In addition, you will generate the primary prints for troubleshooting print quality problems - the Step prints, the Blank Test print, and the 100% Stripe print. These, and the other test prints, can be printed from the Service Prints Menu. Lighten/Darken Colors and Balance Colors The Lighten/Darken Colors and Balance Colors adjustments make it possible to adjust how the printer produces color and grayscale images. These adjustments are necessary because, over time, colors produced by the printer may change. The Calibrate Colors menu is used to access the Lighten/Darken Colors and Balance Colors adjustments.
